happy passover in hebrew

When you meet other Jews before or during Passover and you want to bless them with a blessing for the holiday, there is a special wording used specifically for this case.

On Passover, we all keep a kosher home for Passover and clean of chametz, so we wish our family and friends “a happy and kosher Passover.”

In Hebrew it sounds like this: Chag Pesach Kasher V’Same’ach

the meaning of the Blessing is to have a kosher Passover

The Passover holiday is characterized by many Halachot related to kashrut, since the Torah commands you to inspect house and burn the chametz in the days before Passover, and to be careful and avoid any Chametz during the holiday.

We wish Passover will indeed be a kosher Passover and that the preperation towards Passover will go well.

One of our great righteous said, “Whoever is careful about anything chametz on Passover is assured that he will not sin all year long.”

Note that it is now possible through the website to sell chametz before Passover in order not to break the prohibition on the holiday.

Happy Passover

Passover is also a day of joy on which the Torah commands “rejoice in your holiday” and therefore bless your friends that the holiday will be happy.

Happy holiday blessing (and Yiddish Gut Yom Tov)  it is customary to wish it on all holidays and indeed it can be wished for Passover, but the more correct way as we wrote before to wish happy and kosher Passover.

Passover website

Through Passover website, you will learn the laws and customs of Passover, the laws of making your home and your kitchen kosher, what is permitted and what is not allowed to eat on Passover, the inspection, the elimination of chametz and other Halachot.
